B.Sc. Nursing, short for Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a gateway to a staggering career as a nurse. Nursing is a very popular profession in the Health sector. But, before embarking upon the journey in this career, it is important for candidates to pursue the undergraduate degree course i.e., B.Sc. Nursing. The scope for nursing in India is immense in public and private sector hospital and home healthcare. The roles of nurses are evolving and changing and are nothing like what it was in the past. The nurse can perform health assessment, actively support patients and families in all settings, create innovative models of care, and enhance work processes to raise quality, Nurses are even undertaking research to find evidence to support new nursing interventions. The duration of this programme is four years. Across the course duration, candidates are taught about Biochemistry, Dietetics, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Child Health, Mental Health, Forensic Nursing and many such topics.
